I saw these people and another television interview- The long story short is that this particular puma was born with a lot of medical conditions (including being undersized ) And would’ve died a long time ago had it not been given special care. These people decided to adopt it and provide all the financial support this cat needs to survive as well as provided a loving home and as much of a good quality life as it could have. I can respect the family that this decides to go out of their way to save an animal‘s life like that. The puma looks very happy👍🏻

Generally the idea of owning a wild animal like this is something that should be frowned upon, but hearing the back story and seeing that this Puma clearly is loving his humans and his life, it’s a RARE exception. Congrats on being one of the few, if only, human who have a big cat as a pet and it be acceptable.

While this is okay, in general, one needs to be extremely cautious so there is no sudden displays of alpha strength, intimidation or dominance. One needs to keep this in mind in cohabiting space with russians. I'm glad the puma is safe.

That's great how you have him trained like that . He's very intelligent and magnificent. I'm so happy for you that you get to live with this beautiful creature and give him a good life. Much better than he the life he would have in the wild. Two reasons , one is you give him protection, and two you give him medical care. He can't get that in the wild. He's protected so no other animals can hurt him , and if he get hurt in the wild , he could suffer or worse. I'm so glad he has a good life , better than most people hahaha. Most cats do that as a pack-enforcement. Those in the family group have the same scent as a result of rubbing all over each other, and Messi likely has taken the role upon himself to be the one that spreads the scent. Doing it on a walk like that is probably to reinforce a strong pack smell so no one wants to mess with them for the territory xD I don't think Messi realizes he's a RUSSIAN puma... no one wants to fight anyway xD

@@theresnothinghereatall Well it's not literally wild since yes- they raised it, but technically it's a big cat and IS a wild animal that does have their hunting instincts. The reason that "big" cat is very tame to them is probably because of how good they trained and raised it. Keeping such animals as pets need discipline and consistent training. That's why I was praising how much they took care of it and how strong their bond is with it. Raising that isn't easy, but they're doing a great job at it!
