In this stream Sasha and Masha shows an amazing gift that Elizabeth Burger (subscriber, long-time viewer of the channel) sent them. They say about Elizabeth that she become very dear friend to them. She was sending them gifts before and this time she sent a collection of cards, dated 1903-1904 years, that has view of Russia in that time. In the letter she told a story behind this collection: one of her relatives who also had surname Burger was an engineer and was invited to come to Russia for the exhibition related to his field of work, that was around 1904-1905, so he went there, and while staying there he bought some set of cards picturing Russia. He brought them back home. Later on he participated in 1st world war and end up missing at this war. But the cards were there, family saved them and they end up being at possession of Elizabeth, who was very happy to return them to Russia and chose Sasha and Masha to give such a special gift. Sasha said that cards are in perfect amazing condition, like they were printed yesterday, and promised to keep them as a collection, they will go to the market and will buy an album to keep those cards. Also he explained things about those cards how they were made, because Sasha is running a printing house so he knows things about it, he explained that first pictures were printed and then they run a press second time to print reverse side in red. He showed one card in the collection that was colourful, and said that this card was printed and then was painted manually, this is how it was done in that time. Both Sasha and Masha were very touched with such a precious and rare gift. Another gift was an original kerosene lamp, first type of lamps of this kind. Also Sasha mentioned, that thanks to those cards he learned something new about their name in Russian. In Russian we call a card - "otkrYtka", and if I would try to translate it literally it would sound something like "openish", so it definitely has a word "open" in it, something related to this word distantly, but nowadays nobody knows why it is called this way. And the answer is right on those cards, on the reverse side it is said (printed) - An Open Letter.
