I worked on fire lookouts int he Canadian Rockies for 15 summers and only saw a puma (mountain lion) once as I surprised him on my relatively soundless mountain bike. But cats are cats and I've always had a cat in my life since I was a child. All cats have an inner GPS as to where they are physically in their world... they also have an inner clock. Not a clock like us, but a clock that registers ALL regular patterns. If you feed Messi every day at certain times you already know he knows it and anticipates it. It removes huge carnivorous angst from his psyche. So put out a fish 3-4 hours earlier? naaah, I'll wait thanks, besides this good is weird. Interesting... but weird. Pass. Believe me, try the fish 5 hours after his missed (clocked) meal and he will tear it to pieces. Know your cat! best from Canada (I so envy you). Daniel in Montreal

My tabby cat used to hide in the bushes behind the people fishing with cane poles at a nearby lake. When they lifted their catch up and flicked it behind them he would dart out and take it.

He still looks so healthy and happy. You both take good care of Messi. Love the videos. I have given my domestic cats fresh tuna and they love to play and lick it but don't really eat it.
