Purring is a sign of affection and contentment. This cat truely loves you sir. You obviously have a good and decent heart to be worthy of such love from this magnificent creature. Animals will avoid untrustworthy people or people with a predominantly dark side to them.

Messi definitely loves his Daddy and he is purring out of happiness. But when domestic cats purr it is like when a human being hums a tune. Sometimes you do that when you are happy but sometimes you do it to calm yourself when you are nervous or scared. You have to know your cat. My cat purrs at the vet (and he hates going to vet) just to calm himself down and difficult for vet to check his heart rate then lol. Of course at home with no stress he purrs out of contentment. I've just seen people mistakenly cat is happy when purring but it is actually upset (show where a kid was swinging around cat by its tail and parent claimed cat liked it because it was purring). poor cat.

@@angelamonteleone510 I've just seen way too many videos and heard too many stories of people with exotic pets, such as big cats like this getting seriously hurt for one reason or another, be it the animal's fault, or the owner's. I did end up watching more videos and can see that this is a very much domesticated animal, but that doesn't change the fact this is still a Mountain Lion, which are very strong and powerful creatures. Accidents happen, that's all. It is still a sweet video though, I dont dispute that.

Pumas are actually not considered one of the "big cats" in terms of genetics. They're more like common small cats that just got really big, so it makes sense that they act and exhibit traits more akin to house cats than say a lion or tiger.

Again, thank you for the sub-titles! When cats are able to turn their hind end around to you, they completely trust you. My kitty does this with me laying on my lap. Messi totally trusts his parents. 🥰😸❤️🌿🌺

That's why he's smaller than standard cougars and it's believed to be why he's so docile. There was a video where a dog was playfully biting away at Messi's face and NECK. All Messi did was push the dog away repeatedly with his paw rather than show any aggression whatsoever. Wow! Normal, small housecats would get violent after that. In many many videos, this animal has shown just how much he values this man. I'm not even talking like "leader of the pack" but more like "parent". Messi is certainly not a typical puma. Definitely a unique case.

Jonathan Baird apparently messi was sick and couldn't return to the wild. If that's the case then these people saved his life. I'm sure he'd prefer to be alive as a part of their family than to be dead in the wild.

Чудны творенья твои господи, такие красивые грациозные хищники и все так гармонично создано тобой наш бог, а этой пуме господь ,ты дал много любви , ласки и доброты , она ещё 🐅 и такая потому что ее вырастили добрые хозяева , которые ее очень любят и хорошо за ней ухаживают , как за маленьким ребеночком, 🐅 Месси очень повезло что у неё такие любящие хозяева , и не смотря что это хищное животное , у этих добрых людей он стал милым ласковым , нежным и бесконечно любящем животным , и эту безграничную любовь ему хочется отдать своим хозяевам, в частности папочки . Это просто чудо , это доказательство , что настоящая любовь убирает все границы между человеком и таким грозным хищником как пума . That’s why you lock them out. When I lived with a cat, he’s come into my room in the middle of the night and bite my toes through the sheets. I’d be fine with him waking me up at a reasonable time using snuggles, but toe biting at 3am? Had to shut the door on that cat
