attacks rarely end in death. However you will be suvearly maimed and in the hospital. Most likely disfigured by the attack. Safe to say just shoot those damn things if you see them, cuz if you see them, they are dangerously confortable with humans. edit: i mean when you are rushed. DO NOT GO OUT AND START KILLING THEM. they are dangerous when they are confortable with humans. if they are at a distance stand up strait and shout at it and it will leave. if not DO NOT TURN YOUR BACK TO IT draw your weapon just in case but still dont shoot. if it rushes you then shoot. Its rare, but it does happen. in the 20+ years i have beem hiking in my local woods i have only had them approach me 4 times and only once did one rush and yes shoot them if they do that. its a rare encounter and I go hiking in the woods where I live 3 times a week and there are a lot of these animals where i live. No one around here goes out unarmed due to bears and pumas. pumas being the more dangerous of the two.

Nope. That’s SO false. Cougars (or pumas, or mountain lions...all the same thing) are so unlikely to attack a human. I’ve known a lot of people to see them and they weren’t attacked. Can they attack? Sure. But usually only if threatened..you’re near their kill, babies, etc...or you’re not giving them a wide way to escape. One was on the hiking trail in front of my friend and I, with it’s eyes on something, she saw it, i didn’t. I’ve only seen the tail end of one running across the road 1.5 miles from my house. They’ve been spotted in my neighborhood, no attacks yet. In the hills near my home, they’ve been spotted and nothing. I can almost guarantee I’ve been spotted by them, which kind of creeps me out..but🤷‍♀️ I’ve gone running in the woods at night, where they’ve been known to be, with a few people from my running club. So far, so good. Not without risk. But my risk of being mangled and killed among humans, or driving, is FAR greater. Should I kill all humans on sight?! They’re the deadliest creature on earth. We just can’t resolve the cognitive dissonance of ‘monsters among us’...so we spot a wild creature, who can kill naturally...but does way less than humans, and fixate on their threat of danger to us. We humans are pretty crazy

@@speshalkmf9273 That's such a stupid and paranoid take! They aren't just robots who are programmed to kill and eat meat at any cost. They don't see humans as meat. Messi goes outside and plays with little dogs. What news stories of cats killing people are you talking about? The only such stories I know are from zoos or parks when the person does something very stupid, such as the woman who messed with a tiger as he was eating and it wasn't deadly - her arm was severily injured but she will be OK. I have not heard big cats attack their owners after years of bonding. That's not a thing.

@@filmfelineadmin I've used oatmeal shampoo on my cats, my two dogs and my wolfdog. I've also used baby shampoo in a pinch. It hasn't ever hurt them and as you can see the mountain lion in the video above looks quite healthy. She also looks healthy in the many other vids of her.

I have a wild born standard sized tabby cat and I wouldn't have any fingers left if I bathed her! She has a ( thankfully mild) genetic condition - feline cutaneous asthenia - giving fragile skin so I have to bathe wounds occasionally or soften/remove scabs stuck in fur and she gets the growlies after a few touches of the wet cotton pad even when it's no longer sore , let alone a full bath - so this is seriously impressive stuff ☺ I'm not sure he's enjoying it though even though he allows it!

@Greg Estes Just in case you're wondering theres something wrong with the Puma thats why hes so tame... He was a runt in the litter and hes got health issues... He cant be released into the wild, Im sure the cat knows that his humans are his only life support I doubt he will ever turn on any humans this cat is not a hunter its very domestic you can see it in his features as they are non aggressive...
