Outside of chin scratches and chest rubs and petting, my cats wouldn't tolerate this... But, they do sleep in the bedroom and on the bed and get active when the morning sun comes up and I awake to see 3 pairs of eyes looming at me 😄❤

@@tesstickle7267 I can scratch my cats' chins and chests as part of overall petting and neck rubs... But, the belly is "off limits" and will lead to getting bit and scratched... Same with the front paws unless they initiate things by reaching out first... The funny thing is that all 3 will put their hind legs on me while we sit together... I have 2 males and 1 female and all do the same thing... The belly is their most vulnerable spot and that might explain the response... and since they are rescued cats, they most certainly did not get "belly rubs"... But, I love them none the less ! ❤

@@giovanna722 it also varies from cat to cat. I have a wild born cat currently who is extremely physically affectionate. She has to be on me at all times when she is awake - near me isn't any good, it has to be clamped to or on me. She likes to crawl up inside my shirt, sit on my shoulder, climb on my knee and likes to wedge herself under my chin if reading or even come to the bathroom with me. That said she's also independent and happily plays outside and doesn't pine if I'm out, she just enjoys physical contact and instigates things like chase which most cats would hate. My previous rescue cat though, not so much. She liked being inside, but preferred to be on her cushion or basket and not to be petted or touched much - if you picked her up, she acted like you were killing her. It does vary from one to another, even though technique definitely does help. Stripey👖 here would love what Sacha is doing to Messi, but Kit would have absolutely hated it, you have to learn your animal and their personality and act accordingly.

@@littlepump4734 This particular one was rescued, and I think he has a bone disorder that's caused him to be about half the size of a regular mountain lion. So I suppose he is just a Russian housecat

@@littlepump4734 Because the original owner operated a petting zoo hoping Messi would be one of their animals. But since the vet costs were too high, they wanted to get rid of Messi, and probably would have euthanized which would have been a waste since Messi is a sweet cat and deserves a good life. Thankfully Sasha and his wife saved Messi and he's happy now. He wouldn't survive in the wild.

Oh my God, Messi is such soft fluffy cat. A big baby. I have watched this video 6 times. He is the most wonderful animal I have ever seen. Charish that baby every minute you have him. He is so lucky to be loved and you guys are sooooo lucky to have him.
