Honestly, I think it's all down to training and the relationship you have with the animal. My Min Pin hates baths, but she stands just as still as Messi for me. If my husband tries, it's World War 3. XD And the one time I had to give my cat a bath (my sister was petting a stray and gave him fleas), he wasn't too happy about it, but I didn't have problems with scratching and biting. Yeah, he tried to escape a couple times (and BOY was he growling like there was no tomorrow), but that was it.

He's not a "normal" cat though. Most wild cats have no fear of water. Tigers, mountain lions, cougars all come to mind.

Kris Aaron I think the answer to that is both of them are responsible. Messi for DEFINITELY being a very special baby and Alex (his dad) for showing him tremendous love, affection, patience and understanding!! The golden rule to all is TRUE LOVE !!

Having owned cats for many decades I can vouch for the occasional times when a bath is probably the best solution to whatever problem puss has created. I've been watching the behavior of large cats lately and find that their behavior seems to incorporate all the best aspects of the domestic cat and dog,. Especially if they were hand-reared from cubs. I'm glad that this owner seems well versed in how to care for the animal because it isn't full-grown yet. However, comparing the lives of wild cats and shelter/reserve cats is that the sheltered cats (those with proper keepers) live a much better life than they would as wild animals. But they must be given lots of cat-based enrichment, love and, autonomy.

I am very impressed. Messi is an amazingly well behaved cat when hes getting a bath. Last time I tried to give my cat a bath I ended up with bandages on my fingers. I had to hold a microphone in church the next morning with those fingers and it wasn't easy. Again very very impressed.

@Сергей Тарасенко у пумы Месси есть небольшая инвалидность, он маленького роста и проблема с позвоночником с самого рождения! В дикой природе он бы не выжил, это спасибо таким добрым людям которые не убивают зверей а дают им шанс жить!

Amazing that a mountain lion/cougar/puma is being bathed, is grumbling throughout the entire process, yet there is no fear on the human’s part..who would have ever thought this possible…just shows what a loving relationship Sasha and Messi have-Messi is grumbling like Sasha’s child as if to say “Dad, you know I do not like this one bit, but I will suffer through it because you are my Dad and I know you are the boss of me” 😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yeah I've been a teacher for 17 years and it's hard to find kids that are well trained. When ironically the parents expect a teacher to be able to control their own children. I would rather spend the day with this cat training him then attempting to train children

У вашего Месси необыкновенное терпение, вы так долго безнаказанно его мыли. Любое животное, из тех, что жили у меня - собаки, кот- давно бы сделали попытку удрать из ванны. Замечательный Месси!
