I just noticed how Messi rotates his ears backwards when he drinks so that he can detect potential predators or competitors sneaking up on him. That's an interesting instinct that I'd never thought about before.

Read up on how Sasha's hands on rehabilitation of Messi brought him to health, starting from when he was eight months or so. I think Sasha effectively became Messi's mother, teaching and training him. The bond goes way back.
