Messi and Gerda finally met in person! However not according to the plan)) Messi seized the moment and ran out of the house himself)

Gerda has such a nice temper, they will be friends eventually.. Messi is just instinctively wanting to protect his territory.. The best to you all..

1:38 seems more like he wanted to play there or am i wrong? It seems its kinda awkward between them 2 for now but in time they will acclimate to each other, the light hissing seems more to come from the fact they dont really understand each others intention than aggressivity towards the other one. Keep in mind they are from diferent species so socially its gonna be a little trickier for them to create a bond. However this time the chances for them to success are much higher since Itchel already had some problems on her own (probably not her fault though they came from her past). Gerda seems more curious and less fearsome. Team Messi/Gerda would be op so lets cross fingers

Definitely, Gerda wanted to play and Messi was just being more cautious. I think Gerda being female will help in their getting to know one another. 2 alpha males would have been a big problem.

I would love for Gerda and Messi to get a long. I feel like Gerda really wants to play with Messi and wants to get accustomed with him, although Messi is just cautious and doesn’t know what Gerda’s intentions are but I’m sure he’ll calm down, and eventually get used to her. Would love to one day see them live in the house with their parents one day. 😊 really beautiful cats.

Messi really is like the Disney Simba character from Lion King (the cartoon one). He is so expressive, sweet, humorous, just a doll, I cannot believe what a personality he has, never expected to see this in a puma but he is too charming. God bless him.

Даже трудно понять за кого я больше волновался, за Месси или за Герду! Ну вроде бы все прошло. Теперь они уже знакомы. Остаётся только ждать! Дай Бог чтобы у них было всё хорошо и они подружились. Эти виды по природе одиночки, плюс они знакомы не сдетства и разного пола. К сожалению, заводить их в один вальер нельзя будет раде безопасности

Да, Саша поначалу испугался, и это передалось котямбам, но они в итоге утолили свой интерес друг к другу и всё прошло шикарно! Мэська в конце даже замахал игриво хвостиком. Они, хотя и повыпендривались, но так и положено. Перспективы обалденные🙌✌👍

This video gives me hope for a long and lasting friendship between these two angelic and stunning felines. They both got a touch testy and territorial with each other, but they weren't actively trying to murder each other through the barrier. Mostly just warning vocalizations, but nothing too terribly bad. I have hope!!! Messi, Gerda, Kira, Sasha, and Masha, I love you all so much!!! You all brighten my day, and have made my quarantine experience considerably better. I would be going alot more stir crazy if it weren't for you all. Please Don't stop making videos!!! The day to day antics of this amazing family are a wonder to behold. My mother also loves watching Messi videos, she is just as enamored and absolutely in love with His Highness as I am. We all live in a very tiny town in Northeast Michigan, USA. North America loves Messi, Gerda, Kira, Sasha, and Masha!!!!

I started watching several years ago when I was diagnosed with Lyme disease and have to stay in bed and rest all the time. It sure has helped pass the time. I live in Virginia. ✌️ Also like to watch Michael Jamison's Tigers and animals💕 And Yoll the eagle owl channel. There are Chunk the ground hog. Choo Choo the chipmunks. And James Blackwood and his raccoons. Kosumet or Kotsumet Otters Hana and Kotaro. Also Captain Aty. ♥️ They all help pass the time. I much prefer watching animals. I turned off the cable years ago. Maybe you will find something there to enjoy. ✌️

I actually found Messi last year, and instantly fell in love with him. I am a total animal person, so I took to Kira, Ichel (RIP Ichel), and now Gerda as well. And who couldn't love the two humans who adopted this gorgeous brood, and gives them as much love, affection, and devotion as Masha and Sasha do???

It is interesting that when Messi met the dogs in dog school, he showed no emotion, but when he saw a cat base, he acted differently. I remember he jumped out of house when he saw ichel before.

It could be due to the fact that he's been around dogs since he was a little cub. I'm no cat expert so please correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's mainly due to the way Messi was brought up, as he's quite familiar with dogs and he feels somewhat comfortable around them. Big cats don't generally see dogs as a threat unless they're competing for territory or food in which big cats will always have the upper hand in fights due to their superior build, weapons and fighting techniques. They however, often see other big cats as potential enemies, mainly due to competition and natural instinct. Messi knows Gerda is also a big sized cat and not a dog, (cougars and cheetahs aren't true big cats) so when his natural instincts kicked in he immediately got into defensive mode.

Beautiful and gifted and blessed two cats. I see Greta is eyeing Messi and she so eager to test her ability with Messi. However even though Messi charged at the enclave, greta has some real thangs. I fear for Messi if they get in a tangle.

Всё нормально. Обозначились друг перед другом, поиграли мускулами, показали кто как охотится - гепард нападает сзади, пума охотится в лоб, глаза в глаза. Ну не целоваться же им при первой встрече... Всё прилично. Подружатся!

Fantastic first meeting. Messi is already chill. At one point Gerda lays down and starts to roll over. Seems like eventually they will be close friends with the guidance of you two patient and steady care givers. Well done!

I like them both showing their type of hunting: Messi attacks out of the terrain, trees or house angles. Gerda attacks on the plane sight, just like cheetah's do in Africa ;D

@The NTYR Why do you say that? They are a large cat, therefore they are dangerous. But, they are built for speed, not taking on bulkier or stronger cats like Messi. Pretty simple, really.

So, mutual pacing up and down. Messi wondering who Gerda is and vice versa. Both somewhat suspicious of each other Time will tell how things will go, but at least they're not being vocal. A fairly sedate meeting as meetings go 🐾💕.

Both thought they were the only one. To be expected that they would become territorial and anxious. Parents have more than enough love for all but kitties don't understand that. Hope they will be ok, in time. Take your time to introduce them. Don't worry about pressure from comments. It is a family situation after all. Messi's gentle nature is so well nurtured. But it's partly cos he is the golden child. If he feels his place is threatened, he may get aggressive. Especially since they're of similar size. There's bound to be scuffles though, for them to work it out. Praying for your success!

Well, that looks like it's going pretty good. A couple of hisses, some spatting, pacing, charging, but no full on attacks at the fence. Just some shows of dominance. Won't be long and they'll be a happy family 😊

Gerda seems happy, excited, engaged, and wanting to see her new buddy. Messi seems a little jealous, possessive, surprised, and not as willing to engage his new "friend." Hopefully time and repeated exposure will soften him up.

I love what these two people have done - giving these cats a wonderful home with all the care and dedication that goes with it. Having said that, I have serious doubts that these cats can ever be "in the same room together." This is my initial gut instinct based on what I see. Two different species who didn't have the opportunity to encounter one another at a young age. They are both a bit older and bolder. Set in their ways. I hope I'm dead wrong. No matter what, Sasha & Masha WILL make it work. There can be no doubt about that!

I also believe they can not be in the same room, their both fierce in their own species. However, from a distance, they can learn each other scent to adjust it is normal. They already have been in each presence several times and Messi hissed and ran behind the house and was peaking around the corner but he dared not let her get an inch to him. Although Greta did try to touch Messi a few times with her paw lightly bc she wanted his attention, Messi was like NO way, I'm outta here" and Greta went chasing after Messi all the way around the house. What she was actually going to do to Messi well it never happened bc Messi was so smart he dared her not to come close to him. Her fangs are longer and sharper. Can you blame Messi for hauling his butt as fast as he was running behind and around the house?(LOL)

Абсолютно нормальная первая реакция для кошачих, особенно когда Месси привык быть единственным любимым котиком большим в семье, а Герда просто защищается и тоже ставит себя так сказать, мол смотри я не хуже. Вообщем все будет хорошо. Забавно что Месси с балкона да и в окно прекрасно видел там гуляющую Гердочку, но есть ощущение что игнорировал

Серхио Бускетс если бы вы были частым гостем на этом канале и хорошо знали характер Месси и вообще все, что рассказывает Саша про кошек, не писали бы тут глупости. Вы путаете обычных домашних кошек и больших хищных кошек , и забываете что это животные которые в первую очередь живут инстинктами и сколько бы вы их не приручали, инстинкты никуда не денутся. Глупо говорить в данной ситуации о каком-то воспитании кошачих, когда каждый прежде всего защищает свою территорию и да, это норма.

@@kosmos5968 Вы правы, что хищники взрослые. И будет ревность и охрана своей территории. Но гепард один из тех хищников, который легко социализируется (я это про читала ). Хочется, конечно, счастливого решения этой ситуации.

Thank you for sharing this. That was amazing. I wish I understood how to read their body language. At one point it seemed like messi was like screw this I'm going home, its safer over here lol. And his running pounces were still so sweet. They are both beautiful. It still amazes me w every video how instivive and loving you are w these cats. You guys are amazing.

@@ivanivan8221 да где он показал себя трусом- ни разу! Никогда!!! Как он спокойно и уравновешенно ведёт себя везде- с ним хоть на собачьей площадке, хоть в кинотеатре. Он не трусоват- он миролюбив. Да и насчёт ревности, я не думаю чтобы такой добряк излил свою ревность во что-то кровожадное. Мне кажется они станут друзьями и будут играть. А лучше всего уверить Месси, что Герда куплена только для него, как подружка-игрушка.

Ну... Вот и познакомились! Герда мне балерину напоминает на своих стройных длинных лапках. А Мэська такой очаровательный домашний котейка! Лапы мощные, коротенькие, упитанный такой, хорошо воспитанный мальчик из приличной семьи))) Удачи вам, ребята, в воспитании таких разномастных и разношерстных кошистых детей! Главное остановитесь на этом количестве. Трое - достаточно. Иначе гармония фэншуй нарушится👐

Even with the hissing, Messi did not seem that perturbed. His tail was very quiet. Gerda will need more time to get used to him for sure. But, all in all, it seemed liked things went pretty well for a first meeting.

Yes, i actually agree with you. I cannot wait for the translation but i do not agree with a lof of comments saying Gerda was excited and Messi upset. To me it seemed like Gerda was defensive and provoking towards Messi, he was actually pretty chill apart the hissing.
