I felt the same😔. It's so sad to see animals in need of love and care. I was a little disapointed they didn't pet that sweet dog. Humans should learn more with the animals. Still i ❤Messi. Love from Portugal, precious cat😻

@@susanavarela6734 , this was a dog from a nearby farm. It's not a house dog, it may be a carrier of infection. They have been going to a dog school with puppies that weren't vaccinated yet. The school principal, Messi's trainer in chief, lost two dogs in a week by lethal infection this winter. Messi and Kira also got other infection from somewhere in December, they were very sick. The treatment of Messi was long.

As someone who's lived in Eastern Europe, strays like this are not uncommon, and like has been mentioned are usually farm dogs, and even if not they get plenty of good and attention from people

The way the owners treat Messi is very heartwarming. When Messi didn’t want to move as he saw the dog, they didn’t rush him or pull him to make him move. They just waited for him and respected his choice of to investigate his surroundings and feel safe before he move on. Very very kind human beings♥️♥️♥️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

In most cases yes he should be free but this cat cant survive in the wild. So they care for him give him a great loving home where he is not abused or starving. The cat is blessed to have those kind people to care for him.

Если он хороший -- его надо отловить, отмыть, протравить от блох -- и устроить к адекватному хозяину. На улице ему в любом случае не место.

That dog sure has a great personality! A huge cat comes up to him while he is laying down (a vulnerable position) and he isn't bothered at all. I would adopt that dog in a heartbeat!
